Well
Established Medical Practice on beautiful Kenai Peninsula in Alaska looking for
Family Medicine Doctor with an emphasis in Female Care and interest in
Functional Medicine.
If you are looking for a fulfilling, well-paying,
steady career in a location central to the most amazing sights Alaska has to
offer, than this is where you belong! This position requires no call, and you’ll
work a typical 40 hour work week with no work on Sundays. We provide scribes so
that as you are finished seeing your patient, you are also finished with your
notes, eliminating hours of charts in the evening.
We are a
preventive minded family practice and urgent care clinic that has made some
tremendous moves towards functional medicine. The more we learn and implement,
the more our patients love the care we provide them. There is a large demand for
more female care on the Peninsula, as two of the main female care practitioners
have left or are leaving the area. It is our desire to fill that need for our
patients. As you join our practice, you will already have a fairly established
patient base, as well as receive referrals from our four other practitioners.
This position
offers a high minimum guarantee and great opportunity to earn supplemental
income. Physician Compensation is very attractive. As most practices have
struggled over the past few years, ours has experienced amazing growth, and a
great part of that success has to do with leadership and our push toward
preventive care. The MediCenter has been open for 19 years, and with our push
toward Functional Medicine, its best years are sure to come.
The Kenai
Peninsula is usually referred to as “The Banana Belt” of Alaska. While we would
be naïve to think that you can actually grow bananas in Alaska, the climate
stays relatively moderate due to the protected waters of Cook Inlet on one side
and Prince William Sound on the other,; which creates a beautiful habitat for
wildlife and humans alike. The Kenai Peninsula is world renowned for its scenic
mountains, rivers, lakes and beaches. When you see it for yourself, you will
cease to wonder how the relatively short drive from Anchorage to Kenai is voted
in the top ten most scenic drives of the United States. And, of course, there is
the fishing, hiking, camping, and all other outdoor recreation that many
tourists come up to experience. What most people don’t realize, is that while
still keeping a small town feel, Kenai and its sister town, Soldotna, have
experienced a good amount of growth, giving you many of the amenities and
entertainment provided in a larger, more metropolitan area as well. Also,
Alaska offers financial and recreational
opportunities beyond compare. There is no state income or sales tax; and each
year every member in your family receives a yearly dividend from oil revenues.
If you desire to learn more
about the opportunity to join our Practice, please contact Scott Carlson,
Administrator, at
scott@kenaidoctor.com or (907) 394-9120. You can also view our website at
